SOUTHERN CA
TRAINING CENTER

The Mike Quevedo, Jr., Laborers' Training School was dedicated and opened in October, 2004. This impressive facility boasts of more than 30,000 square feet of administrative, classroom, maintenance and office space, on a 10+ acre parcel in Azusa, CA, directly north of the 210 and 605 freeways. The school is named in honor of LIUNA Vice President and Southern California Laborers' District Council Manager, Mike Quevedo, Jr., reflecting the leadership role Mike played in converting vision into reality. It is clearly one of the finest training facilities in the country.

The Laborers' School trains over 3,000 journeymen and apprentices in more than 5,000 classes each year. The new facility also houses our Apprenticeship staff which monitors over 1,000 active apprentices. In addition to the facility at Azusa, the Laborers' School maintains a substantial mobile training fleet that can provide training at local union offices and contractors' jobsites.
